Wesley Church

Wesley Church is located on Lonsdale Street in Melbourne's CBD and is a church of the Uniting Church in Australia, named after John Wesley, the founder of Methodism. Today, there are two congregations of the Uniting Church based at Wesley Church: an English-speaking congregation, Wesley Church, and a Chinese-speaking congregation, Evangel Hall.

The current building of Wesley Church was constructed between 1857 and 1858 in the English Gothic style and served as the central church of the Victorian Methodist community at that time. The church was designed by Joseph Reed, who also designed Melbourne Town Hall, Scots' Church, and St Michael's Uniting Church. This magnificent church is one of Melbourne’s most renowned wedding venues, with many couples choosing to hold their most important and sacred ceremony here.
