Guide The Martyrs' Cemetery was built in honor of the revolutionary martyrs who bravely sacrificed their lives during the "40-Day Defense Battle of Yiwu." Introduction After the victory of the 40-Day Defense Battle of Yiwu, the Yiwu County Party Committee and the County People's Government decided to construct the Yiwu County Martyrs' Cemetery and the War Horse Monument. The Yiwu County Martyrs' Cemetery has been relocated three times and was finally situated on a gentle slope of Nanshan Mountain in the county town, covering an area of 55 mu. Its main structures include a memorial monument, martyrs' tombs, and an exhibition hall. The cemetery is 110 meters wide from east to west and 160 meters long from north to south. The monument stands 10 meters tall, topped with an iron five-pointed red star, and is hollow with scaffolding installed inside that reaches the top.

The War Horse Statue is 2.46 meters long, 1.14 meters wide, 3.21 meters high, and weighs 8.5 tons. It depicts the horse in a posture of galloping while bearing a load, recreating its heroic appearance from those years.

In 2002, the Martyrs' Cemetery was designated as a "Patriotic Education Base" by the Autonomous Region Youth League Committee and recognized as a "National Key Martyrs' Memorial Building Protection Unit" by the Ministry of Civil Affairs of China.
