"Nalinggeer" is a Mongolian term meaning "narrow valley." It is located at the western end of Yiwu County, adjacent to the Yiwu Military Horse Farm, and is a high-altitude grassland situated in the Yiwu River Valley, nestled between two large mountains—hence the name "Nalinggeer." The Nalinggeer Grassland covers a total area of 1.76 million mu, with an average elevation of 2,150 meters.

Surrounded by mountains, Nalinggeer Grassland features peaks wreathed in white clouds with snow-capped summits looming faintly in the distance. The mid-slopes are covered by vast pine forests, with undulating ridges and the rustling of pine waves creating a lush green expanse. The grassland itself boasts abundant vegetation, verdant lawns, blooming wildflowers, and the chirping of birds. Adding to the scenery are the murmuring streams and rugged rocks in the valleys, lending the grassland a serene and pristine charm. When summer arrives, the grassland becomes even more picturesque: flocks of sheep drift like clouds across the green sea, yurts appear and disappear amid cooking smoke, presenting a breathtaking scene reminiscent of “the boundless sky, the vast wilderness, where the wind blows low and reveals cattle and sheep.” Coupled with traditional Kazakh entertainment such as wrestling, goat grabbing, horse racing, the "girl chase," and Akyn performances, the Nalinggeer Grassland bursts with vitality and rich nomadic culture. With its stunning landscapes, enchanting scenery, moist climate, and cool breezes, Nalinggeer Grassland is truly an ideal destination for leisure, summer retreats, and vacationing.

Nalinggeer Grassland is a major pastoral base in Yiwu County. Renowned high-value fine-wool sheep breeds from Xinjiang, such as the Qianshan Sheep and Yanchi Sheep, graze here. The grassland is expansive, rich in forage, blessed with ample rainfall, and enjoys a cool climate, making it highly suitable for grazing. Since ancient times, it has been a prime natural pastureland, and it is also home to the famous Yiwu Military Horses and Dongshan Horses.
