Dadonggou

Dadonggou is located within Fuyun County, Altay Prefecture, Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region, about 60 kilometers from the county seat. It is a regional-level scenic area. Dadonggou is a high-mountain valley situated at the headwaters of the upstream Ertix River. The mighty Ertix River, flowing westward, converges and cascades down through the valley with a roaring sound, creating a majestic and powerful spectacle. Along the riverbanks, dense primeval forests of birch, poplar, and pine trees thrive. Among the woods, glaciers cover the landscape and massive boulders stand towering and abrupt. Additionally, there is a Dadonggou in Donggang City, Liaoning Province, where the historically significant Battle of the Yalu River (Yellow Sea) took place in its waters.
