The Kalaxianger Earthquake Fault Zone is a national AAA-level tourist attraction and a patriotic education base.

The Kalaxianger Earthquake Fault Zone is the remnant of the 1931 Fuyun magnitude 8 earthquake and is one of the rarest earthquake fault zones in the world. This earthquake was felt globally, with areas experiencing noticeable tremors spanning a diameter of 2,500 kilometers. At the center of Kalaxianger, it left behind a spectacular collapsed area that is 1,500 meters long and 350 meters wide. The hard rock layers were split open by a 6-meter-wide and over 10-meter-deep trench extending more than 20 kilometers, while the mountain massif as a whole slid down by 10 meters. The site also features earthquake relic landscapes such as ridges, beaded collapse pits, bulges, and tension cracks. This relic remains intact to this day and is currently the most spectacular, astonishing, and best-preserved earthquake relic in the history of world seismology. It is known as the "Earthquake Museum" and holds value for geological research, scientific exploration, and eco-tourism.
