Kalayemule Scenic Area

Kalayemule Scenic Area is located 65 kilometers east of the county town, covering an area of approximately 20 square kilometers. It is bordered by Zhilant Mountain to the north and natural grasslands to the south. The Kalayemule River runs horizontally from east to west through the scenic area, with wild poplar trees and lush vegetation along both banks. The area is vast, with an average summer temperature of 15 degrees Celsius. In the height of summer, the mountain slopes are covered in dense, forest-like greenery; the plains bloom with colorful flowers and are filled with birdsong and fragrant scents; the grasslands are dotted with yurts and herds of cattle and sheep like clouds. The area often hosts folk entertainment activities such as Aken performances, wrestling, horse racing, and the “girl-chasing” game. Every summer, tourists flock here, seeking respite from the heat while enjoying sightseeing and vacationing. The scenic area includes restaurants, guest rooms (including European-style wooden cabins, tourist tents, and yurts), shops, and karaoke rooms, making it an excellent place for leisure and outdoor dining in the peak of summer. There is also great potential for overall development, including ethnic village experiences, fishing areas, horse racing fields, mountaintop viewing platforms, and hunting grounds.
