Binhe Park in Emin County is a national AAA-level tourist attraction.

The ancient name of the Emin River was the Yemili River. It is an international inland river that originates from the confluence of the Tacheng Mountains and the Wu'erka Xia Yi Mountains. Like a pristine white hada, it traverses the entire territory of Emin County, flowing southwest through Yumin County and Tacheng City before emptying into Kazakhstan’s Almaty Lake. Stretching over 300 kilometers with an annual runoff of more than 1.6 billion cubic meters, the urban section where we are has an annual runoff of approximately 220 million cubic meters.

Nowadays, every night the Emin River is illuminated with dazzling lights, adding a splendid touch to the beautiful nighttime scenery of Emin County.

Throughout Binhe Park, aside from a few squares, red-brick pedestrian paths, and black asphalt vehicle lanes, greenery abounds everywhere. In the park’s plant landscape design, trees, shrubs, and lawns are harmoniously arranged, with attention paid to color coordination—creating a blend of deciduous and evergreen trees, foliage plants, flowering plants, and ornamental shrubs.

Large-leaved ash, large-leaved elm, Scots pine, and spruce stand like refined gentlemen along the pathways. Weeping willows, Chinese scholar trees, apple trees, and crabapple trees stand gracefully amidst the flowers and grasses on both banks. Shrubs such as lilac, red-stem dogwood, purple-leaf sand cherry, Red Prince weigela, purple-leaf acacia, and roses are scattered throughout the park—here a cluster, there a patch—adding charm and character in every corner.

A city doesn’t have to be big to have charm—with water, it comes alive. The newly renovated river channel is nearly a hundred meters wide, glistening under the sunlight during the day and sparkling with lights along both banks at night. Scattered like pearls along either side of the river, the various scenic spots attract visitors to stroll, exercise in the morning, wander at night, relax, and enjoy the views. Binhe Park has become a shining calling card for Emin County, drawing countless tourists from far and wide.
