Former Site of Shisheng Primary School

The former site of Shisheng Primary School is a cultural relic protection unit of Xinzhou City.

The former site of Shisheng Primary School is located in Hebian Village No. 4, Hebian Town, Dingxiang County. In 1936, Yan Xishan advocated for “learning through living,” and established Shisheng Primary School in Hebian Village. The school faces south and covers an area of approximately 7,198 square meters. There are more than 150 existing rooms, all featuring flush-gable roofs and brick-wood structures. It was originally the Hebian Advanced Vocational High School in Dingxiang County, but has since been handed over to the Hebian Folk Museum. Hebian Village No. 4: Located at the northeastern tip of Dingxiang County, Hebian Village No. 4 in Hebian Town borders Wutai County, embraces the Daguanshan Mine, and lies close to the Xinzhou-Taiyuan Highway, connecting to Hebian Railway Station. It is a village with convenient transportation and booming economic development. The village has 2,213 mu of arable land, a population of 2,412, 602 households, and over 785 laborers.
