Martyr Guo Jicheng's Tomb

Martyr Guo Jicheng's Tomb is a cultural relic protection unit of Dingxiang County.

Martyr Guo Jicheng's Tomb is located about 1,000 meters southwest of Jicheng Village, Hebian Town, Dingxiang County. Guo Jicheng (1919–1943) was from Jiangcun, Dingxiang County. He served as the captain of the Dingxiang County Guerrilla Detachment. He died in battle during the Fanglan Village engagement in October 1944. The tomb site currently covers an area of approximately 130 square meters, built of stone, and is 3 meters high. In 1944, a hexagonal memorial stele was erected in front of the tomb, with the inscription on the front face reading “Memorial Tomb of Comrade Guo Jicheng, Captain of the Dingxiang County Guerrilla Detachment.” The stele is 2 meters high and rests on a hexagonal Sumeru pedestal. In 1981, it was designated as a county-level cultural relic protection unit by the People's Government of Dingxiang County.

Jicheng Village: Jicheng Village is under the jurisdiction of Hebian Town, Dingxiang County, located 50 li from the county seat. It is a veteran revolutionary base area, currently home to 206 households and over 522 residents. The village has more than 3,000 mu of arable land, with a per capita income of 2,299 yuan. The local economy mainly revolves around agriculture and tourism, with key crops including potatoes, corn, and millet.
