Yan Family Stone Carving Memorial Pavilion is a cultural relic protection unit of Dingxiang County.

Yan Family Stone Carving Memorial Pavilion, located in Hebian Third Village, Hebian Town, Dingxiang County. After the death of Yan Xishan’s father, Yan Shutang, two hexagonal “merit” memorial pavilions, commonly known as the “Hexagonal Towers,” were built in 1935 and 1936 respectively alongside the road leading into Hebian Third Village. The “Hexagonal Towers” cover an area of approximately 28 square meters. The base consists of three tiers of hexagonal stone steps, with stone railings surrounding the stone stele on the steps. The stele is formed by six stone slabs arranged back-to-back to create a hexagonal shape, topped with blue stone tiles carved in the style of tubular roof tiles, further covered with upturned eaves, resembling a small pavilion. This memorial monument suffered severe damage during the Cultural Revolution, with many stone carvings destroyed and inscriptions becoming blurred. Hebian Third Village: Located in the northeastern part of Dingxiang County, adjacent to Wutai County, Hebian Third Village is about 20 kilometers from the county seat of Dingxiang. By the end of 2011, Hebian Third Village had achieved access to water, electricity, roads, television, and telephone. With the support of the government and various sectors, the best route connecting Xintai Road and the former residence of Yan Xishan was constructed, along with a prominent and imposing archway marking the hometown of Yan Xishan, creating favorable conditions for the development of tourism in Dingxiang.
