Dingxiang Kuixing Tower

Dingxiang Kuixing Tower is a cultural relic protection unit of Dingxiang County.

Kuixing Tower is situated about 150 meters east of Shenshan Village, Shen Shan Township, Dingxiang County. It is a three-story, solid, circular brick tower. The base is circular in plan, constructed of stone, standing 0.52 meters high with a diameter of 2.7 meters, covering an area of 5.7 square meters. According to the inscribed stele, it was built in the 23rd year of the Qianlong reign of the Qing Dynasty (1758) and renovated in the 21st year of the Guangxu reign (1895). The tower is approximately 11 meters tall in total, with three circular stories. Its surface is plain, and each story features a brick corbel eave with exposed tubular tiles. On the southern side of the third story, there is an arched doorway. One stele is embedded on the southern side and another on the eastern side of the first story. The tower is topped with a hexagonal spire, featuring a finial base, an exposed disk, and a precious bead finial. In 1981, it was designated as a county-level cultural relic protection unit by the Dingxiang County People's Government. Content excerpted from “A Collection of Cultural Relics in Xinzhou.”
