The LanTai Ruins

The LanTai Ruins is a cultural tourism attraction.

The LanTai Ruins are located about 2,000 meters north of LanTai Village, Yangfang Township, Dingxiang County. Situated on a terrace on the north bank of the Yunzhong River, they stretch approximately 150 meters from east to west and 200 meters from north to south, covering a total area of about 30,000 square meters. Surface finds include gray pottery mixed with sand and red-brown pottery shards, decorated with cord patterns. It is a Neolithic site. LanTai Village: Dingxiang County’s LanTai Village is situated at the boundary between Xinzhou and Dingxiang, bordered by the Xinzhou-Taiyuan Highway to the south and the Xinzhou-Fuping Expressway to the north. It enjoys convenient transportation and a beautiful environment. The village has over 7,000 mu of arable land and a total population of 4,339. Last year, the village’s total economic income reached 48 million yuan, with a per capita income of 5,060 yuan. For four consecutive years, it has been recognized by the county Party committee and government as a “Model Village for Well-Off Construction” and a “Red Flag Rural Party Organization.” In 2005, it was awarded the title of “Civilized Village of Shanxi Province” by the Shanxi Provincial Spiritual Civilization Construction Steering Committee and “Advanced Grassroots Party Organization” by the Shanxi Provincial Party Committee Organization Department.
