Southern Fort Site on Jushi Mountain

The Southern Fort Site on Jushi Mountain is a cultural relic protection unit of Dingxiang County.

The Southern Fort Site on Jushi Mountain is located on Jushi Mountain, approximately 1,000 meters west of Yaotou Village, Nanwang Township, Dingxiang County. Its founding date is unknown, but the existing structure primarily dates to the Ming and Qing dynasties. The fort faces south and has a nearly square layout, measuring 37 meters in length and 35 meters in width, covering an area of 1,295 square meters. The walls are built from stone and brick, reaching a height of about 8 meters. There is one water-land cave on the northern side of the fort. In 2004, repairs were carried out through public fundraising. In 2003, it was designated as a county-level cultural relic protection unit by the Dingxiang County People's Government.
