The Hou Family Courtyard in Xiazhuang

The Hou Family Courtyard in Xiazhuang is located in Xiazhuang Village, Yukou Township, Dai County. It features an architectural style from the Qing Dynasty. Facing south and covering an area of 1,034 square meters, it has a two-courtyard layout. Along the central axis are the main house and the southern house, flanked by a gate tower, east and west wing rooms, an embroidery tower, and side rooms. The main southern house stands on a brick foundation, which is 9.4 meters wide, 7.5 meters deep, and 0.5 meters high. It features three bays in width, four rafters in depth, a single-eave hip-and-gable roof, and a five-rafter front-porch structure.
