Shenling Temple

Shenling Temple is a cultural tourism attraction.

Shenling Temple, located to the south of Dongliushu Village, Zaolin Town, Dai County. The exact date of its establishment is unknown, but the existing structures are in the Qing Dynasty style. It faces south and covers an area of 1,303 square meters. The temple has a single-courtyard layout, with the Hall of the Deity (Lao Ye Dian) built along the central axis, the Hall of the Goddess (Nainai Dian) and the Dragon King Temple on the east side, while the rest are newly constructed. The Hall of the Deity stands on a stone foundation, which is 9.05 meters wide, 7.8 meters long, and 0.2 meters high. The hall has three bays in width and three rafters in depth, with a single-eave gable-and-hip roof and a four-rafter front-porch structure. The interior fittings have been modified. In 2006, it was designated as a county-level cultural relics protection unit by the People’s Government of Dai County. (Content excerpted from “A Collection of Cultural Relics in Xinzhou”)
