Shangmofang Wenshu Temple

Shangmofang Wenshu Temple is a cultural heritage site protected by Dai County.

Shangmofang Wenshu Temple is located in Shangmofang Village, Shangmofang Township, Dai County. Its founding date is unknown, but the existing structure reflects the architectural style of the Qing Dynasty. It faces south and covers an area of 1,845 square meters. The temple has a single-courtyard layout, and only the Wenshu Hall remains from the original structure, with the rest being newly built. The stone-paved platform is 11 meters wide, 8.55 meters deep, and 0.7 meters high. The hall is three bays wide and four rafters deep, featuring a single-eave suspended gable roof and a five-rafter, corridor-less structural system. The front eaves have four-panel lattice doors on the central and side bays. In 2002, it was designated as a county-level cultural heritage site by the People’s Government of Dai County.
