Temple of Prince Fu Su

The Temple of Prince Fu Su is a cultural heritage site protected by Dai County.

The Temple of Prince Fu Su is located east of Chitu Gou Village, Shangmofang Township, Dai County. Its founding date is unknown, but the existing structure exhibits Qing Dynasty architectural style. Facing south and covering an area of 2,716 square meters, it has a single-courtyard layout. Along the central axis stands the Prince’s Hall, with side halls on the east and west sides, while the rest of the structures have been newly built. The Prince’s Hall is built on a stone base that is 10.1 meters wide, 9.1 meters deep, and 0.3 meters high. It features three bays in width and five rafters in depth, with a single-eave hanging gable roof and a five-rafter front-porch structural system. The front eaves of the middle and side bays are fitted with four-panel six-paneled lattice doors. In 2006, it was designated as a county-level cultural heritage site by the People’s Government of Dai County. (From “A Collection of Cultural Relics in Xinzhou”)

Several enterprises operate in the village, mainly including a woodworking factory, agricultural machinery repair plant, steel mill, and silk cotton factory. Additionally, the village has rich mineral resources such as mirabilite, chromite, and vesuvianite.
