Xicun Fort Site

Xicun Fort Site, also known as Zaolin Fort Site, is located in Xicun Village, Zaolin Town, Dai County. It has an L-shaped layout, with a perimeter of 1,320 meters and a total area of approximately 66,300 square meters. Remnants of all four walls remain: the eastern wall is 150 meters long, the southern wall 500 meters, the western wall 120 meters, and the northern wall 440 meters. The walls have a base width of 1.2–5.8 meters, a top width of 0.6–2.8 meters, and a remaining height of 0.9–5.5 meters. The walls were constructed from rammed earth, with each layer (rammed layer) being 0.07–0.18 meters thick. Two corner towers still stand. It is a relic from the Ming Dynasty and one of the thirty-nine forts and twelve connected cities within the county.
