The Site of Laoyemiao Temple at Taihelikou is a cultural heritage protection unit of Dai County.

The Site of Laoyemiao Temple at Taihelikou is located to the north of Taihelikou Village in Yanmenguan, Dai County. The temple has been destroyed, leaving only the foundation site. The ruins face south and cover an area of 872 square meters. It dates back to the Qing Dynasty. In 2006, the People’s Government of Dai County designated it as a county-level cultural heritage protection unit. (Excerpted from “Xinzhou Cultural Relics Collection”)

Taihelikou Village: Taihelikou Village is situated at the southern foot of the Yanmen Mountain Range and at the base of Taihelikou. It is an administrative village under the Yanmenguan Township of Dai County. Historically, this was the southern entrance and a post station along the ancient Yanmen Road, serving as a vital passageway to the frontier regions and other ethnic minority areas. Since ancient times, it has been a strategic military location, a fact that is evident from its geographic significance. According to relevant sources, Taihelikou is 13 kilometers north of Yanmenguan, just 3 kilometers from the Monument to the Eighth Route Army’s Ambush at Yanmenguan, and 14.5 kilometers south of the Monument to the Eighth Route Army’s Night Raid on Yangmingbao Airfield.
