E'kou Ruins

The E'kou Ruins are a cultural heritage site protected by Dai County.

The E'kou Ruins are located about 100 meters south of Exi Village, E'kou Town, Dai County. They span approximately 300 meters from east to west and 200 meters from north to south, covering a total area of about 60,000 square meters. The site sits on a high terrace on the western bank of the E River, featuring a terraced terrain that slopes from south to north, with a water-eroded gully to the west. Surface finds include gravel-tempered gray pottery and clay-red-brown pottery fragments from the Neolithic Age, decorated with rope and basketry patterns, with undetermined vessel shapes; as well as clay-gray and gravel-tempered gray pottery fragments from the Eastern Zhou period, also decorated with rope patterns and with unknown vessel forms.
