Era: Jin to Qing Dynasties

Address: 200 meters east of Yanliang Village, Heyu Township, 25 kilometers west of Yushe County

Built in the third year of the Kaiyun era of the Later Jin Dynasty (946), it was renovated during the Dagding era of the Jin Dynasty and repaired in subsequent dynasties. Currently, only the Mahavira Hall and the Heavenly King Hall remain. The temple site is backed by mountains on one side and surrounded by water on three sides. It covers an area of 844.6 square meters. The Mahavira Hall is the main hall of the temple, featuring a five-bay width and three-bay depth, with a single-eave hanging hip roof. The eaves are adorned with bracket sets and carved details. The interior adopts a raised-beam structure, creating an open and spacious feel. Around the hall are stone balustrades, and the surrounding environment is serene and elegant. The hall embodies the architectural style of its time. On both sides of the hall are side chambers, each covering about 30 square meters.

Inside the hall, there is a hexagonal Buddhist scripture pillar section inscribed with the text “the third year of the Kaiyun era of the Great Jin” and the name “Yanliang” (the former name of Yanliang Village), among other inscriptions.

Yanliang Village: Located by Yunzu Lake in the southern part of Heyu Township, Yanliang Village is known as the “Water Town” of Yanliang and is a great destination for leisure and recreational tourism. It has 217 households and a population of 780, including 21 Party members, 1 probationary member, and 3 mobile Party members. The village has over 800 acres of land, of which 300 acres are planted with pear trees. The main industries include agriculture, with 300 acres of crisp pears yielding 700,000 to 1 million pounds annually, followed by corn, millet, and soybeans. In terms of tourism, there are 35 agritainment households that can accommodate over 500 people for meals and lodging.
