Lufeng Scenic Area

Lufeng Scenic Area is located within Lufeng County and consists of three sections: Dinosaur Mountain, the Lufengpithecus Fossil Site at Shihuibad, and Wutai Mountain, covering a total area of 50 square kilometers. The landscape features world-renowned dinosaur and Lufengpithecus fossils as its main attractions, complemented by red-earth landforms, plant life and flowers, ancient cultural sites, and ethnic culture and customs. Situated in the corridor zone between the central and western Yunnan scenic networks, the area boasts unique scenery, high scenic quality, and distinctive value for tourism, science education, and academic research.
