Biluo Snow Mountain

Biluo Snow Mountain is also an extension of the Himalayas, belonging to the Hengduan Mountains. It forms the boundary between Gongshan County and Deqen County in the Diqing Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture, as well as the watershed between the Nujiang River and the Lancang River. There are 15 snow-capped mountains with elevations exceeding 4,000 meters. Among them, the highest peak, Laowo Mountain, is the most beautiful of these snow-capped mountains, standing at 4,500 meters above sea level, with a relative elevation difference of 3,200 meters from the Lancang River.

The ecosystem of Biluo Snow Mountain is remarkably well-preserved. The mountain experiences highly variable weather patterns, is densely covered with waterfalls, and boasts numerous alpine lakes, earning it the nickname "Mountain of Ten Thousand Waterfalls and Thousand Lakes." Around the transition from spring to summer, clouds rise from the mountain, and climbing to the summit to watch the sunrise or sunset is a spectacular sight. To the east, Jade Dragon Snow Mountain, Haba Snow Mountain, Jinsichang Snow Mountain, Laojun Mountain, and Xuebang Mountain appear like small islands in a vast, sea-like ocean of clouds.
