Situated between the Lancang River and the Jinsha River, with the towering Mount Laojun standing resolutely in the background, the western foothills of Qinghuadian National Wetland Park present a year-round pastoral harmony of landscape—a photographer’s dream. Each of the four seasons brings its own distinct beauty, complemented by the babbling clear waters of the hundred-mile “Zixi” Stream. In the height of summer, a sea of blooming rhododendrons fills the air with fragrance; in the harsh winter, an endless snowfield spreads out as far as the eye can see.

The highest peak of Mount Laojun, Laba Peak, is shrouded in clouds and mist, embraced by dense forests. All around it rise jagged peaks and lie tranquil sacred lakes. When you climb to a high vantage point, the danxia landforms loom faintly and tree shadows sway gently.

What lies ahead in the winding paths is water, yet not quite water; what undulates through the landscape is mountain, yet not entirely mountain. Where spring is in full bloom, horses drink by the divine fields. With every glance, cattle and sheep graze leisurely, and the scenery is boundless. In the quieter corners, the microcosm of nature is thrillingly alive.
