Mangshi Square is situated on the western side of the middle section of Mangshi Street, measuring 306.37 meters in length from east to west and 314 meters in width from north to south, with a total area of 144.3 mu (including the upper section of Aluowolo Road and the square section of Wenbang Road). Facilities within the square include: the China-Myanmar Friendship Hall; the square landmark; the Water-Splashing Dragon Pavilion; the Munao Shidong; the flagpole; and the stage. Major amenities consist of: a musical fountain; six spotlights; four high-mast lights; 48 various colored lights; two public restrooms; and two parking lots. The main square covers an area of 20,300 square meters and is paved with granite. The upper square is surfaced with volcanic rock and serves as a large public venue integrating political commemorative events, promotional activities, cultural entertainment, and leisure sightseeing. It is a fully equipped, brightly lit, open square.

The China-Myanmar Friendship Hall is a four-story frame structure with a total architectural height of 61.70 meters, including a decorative iron tower that stands 39.30 meters tall. Floors two to four were constructed with investment from the municipal and prefectural people's governments, with a construction area of 6,617.2 square meters. The ground floor was developed through attracted investment by Kunming Yudaihe Trade Co., Ltd., with a construction area of 6,912.94 square meters.
