The Mao'er Ridge Ancient Tombs Cluster is a cultural relic protection unit of Shanxi Province.

Located on Mao'er Ridge, east of Yuci City, the ancient tombs are densely distributed across an area stretching 2,700 meters from north to south and 1,500 meters from east to west. This ancient tomb cluster faithfully records the social development history of the Yuci region over the past two thousand years.

Over the years, the Mao'er Ridge has yielded historical tombs from the Spring and Autumn Period, Warring States Period, Qin Dynasty, Han Dynasty, Tang Dynasty, and Song Dynasty

More than 600 tombs have been excavated, along with over 5,000 cultural relics, among which those from the Warring States Period are the most numerous. Most of the Warring States tombs in this area are vertical earthen pit graves. The burial pits are relatively deep, ranging from four to five meters, and some as deep as eight to nine meters. The coffins and outer coffins have all decayed, but the unearthed funerary objects are quite rich, including pottery, bronze ware, jade artifacts, and stone tools.
