Yushi Pavilion

According to ancient texts, during the reign of Duke Ping of Jin in the Spring and Autumn period, the stones in Yuci were said to have spoken. Later, a local magistrate from Yuci found this speaking stone, moved it here, and built a pavilion over it. Of course, the stone didn’t really speak — it was merely a cautionary tale left by the ancients for future generations. It was meant to teach later generations not to act against reason and human feeling, lest even the stones themselves cry out in distress. This pavilion is called Yushi Pavilion, and the stone is naturally known as the Yushi Stone.
