The Mao'er Ridge Tomb Cluster is a cultural heritage site protected by Shanxi Province.

The Mao'er Ridge Tomb Cluster features a complex and overlapping structure. In 1984, excavations were carried out in conjunction with infrastructure development, unearthing several thousand cultural relics, with many ancient tombs still awaiting excavation. Artifacts discovered include pottery li tripods from the Spring and Autumn Period, bronze and iron swords, various types of belt hooks, as well as pottery ding cauldrons, dou stem bowls, and hu vessels from the Warring States and Han dynasties. A carved bronze seal from the Qin Dynasty was also found. Other finds include shell coins from the Spring and Autumn Period, knife coins from the Warring States Period, wuzhu coins from the Han Dynasty, and epitaphs from the Tang Dynasty. Some grain seeds and vegetable seeds unearthed from the tombs are still capable of germination and growth. The painted pottery is exquisitely crafted and lifelike, providing significant historical value for studying the chronology since the Spring and Autumn Period and the developmental history of Yuci. The vast area covered by the ancient tombs, the abundance of unearthed artifacts, and the extensive time span represented are rare in China.
