The Chuan Dong Anti-Japanese War Site is a cultural tourism attraction.

Chuan Dong is an anti-Japanese war site, serving as the main battleground where the Libo military and civilians fought against Japanese invaders and blocked their advance into Libo, threatening Duyun and Guiyang. On December 2–3, 1944, near Chuan Dong in Yongkang Township, our troops and civilians killed over 100 enemy soldiers. During the war, Chuan Dong was the essential passageway into the county town. Today, you can still see the military fortifications left from that time inside the cave. Passing through the cave leads directly to the back of the mountain, where beautiful rural scenery unfolds below.

Transportation

Bus:

Buses from Guiyang Passenger Transport Station to Jingchengjiang, as well as buses from Libo Bus Station to Jingchengjiang, pass by the entrance to Maolan Nature Reserve. The fare is about 11 RMB per person, but there are not many daily services.

For the return trip, you can take a bus from Jingchengjiang to Libo. The bus passes the reserve entrance around 8:00–8:30 AM.

Public Transit:

Libo – Maolan (bus or minibus) – Lihua (minibus) – Reserve Entrance (by motorcycle).

Car Rental:

Tell the driver to drop you off at the Maolan Forest Protection Station, or at the intersection leading to the Jingshi Cave. If all goes smoothly, it takes only about one and a half hours to get from Libo to the forest protection station.
