Xiaoqikong Guibeishan

Guibeishan Primitive Forest — named for the countless wild monstera plants covering the mountains. The area features rugged rocks, bizarre stone formations, towering ancient trees, and vines tangled everywhere. This mountain has three wonders: first, the ancient vines in the forest twist together like hand-twisted hemp ropes, which is quite unique; second, at the upper entrance of the forest, there is a tree root as thick as a bowl that stretches tens of meters along the path, coiling like a moving giant python, leaving visitors astonished; third, there is a huge suspended rock in the forest held up by three stone pillars. On top of this rock, there grows a more than ten-meter-tall national second-class protected plant — the beech tree — lush and swaying vibrantly against all odds. On Guibeishan, you can see unyielding tree roots everywhere, twisting like snakes or burrowing like earthworms, persistently seeking soil and moisture from the rocks. They either intertwine deeply in crevices and holes, grow around massive boulders pushing them off the ground, or force their way through solid stone — phenomena so astonishing and impressive they seem almost unbelievable.
