Xinyang Flower Tomb

The Xinyang Flower Tomb is a cultural heritage site protected at the county level in Xifeng County.

The Xinyang Flower Tomb is located in Xiheba Group, Wengshe Village, Luwo Township, Xifeng County, and was designated as a county-level cultural heritage site in 1984. There are three tombs arranged side by side from east to west: the two on the west side are 1.6 meters high and 3.4 meters in diameter, while the one on the east is 1.3 meters high and 3.2 meters in diameter. All three are earthen mounds enclosed by stone walls and take the form of round mounds. Their tombstones are all single-arched, double-pillared stelae with cap stones. A commemorative stele stands between the middle tomb and the western tombs, and in front of the tombs there is a worship platform enclosed by stone railings. In front of the platform is a stone memorial archway with a single gate and four pillars in a five-story design. The archway is 4.3 meters tall and 2.7 meters wide, with the stories progressively measuring 3.5 meters and 2.65 meters in height. It features inscriptions and some exquisitely carved bas-reliefs. A pair of small stone lions is sculpted on either side of the archway entrance. The entire site covers an area of nearly 200 square meters. The stone carvings are exquisitely detailed, and the overall tomb complex possesses distinctive characteristics and considerable artistic value.

It borders Xiaozhaiba Town and Xishan Township to the east, Jiuzhuang Town to the south, faces Jinsha County across the river to the west, and adjoins Liuchang Township to the north. The township covers a total land area of 97.858 square kilometers, governs 13 administrative villages and 129 villager groups, with a total of 3,962 households and 16,012 residents.
