Splendid Sichuan Tower (Sichuan Radio and Television Tower) consists of five parts: the base, lower tower building, main tower body, upper tower building, and antenna mast. The first-floor platform can be used for conferences and cultural performances, the lower tower building houses a leisure dining area, and the upper tower building from 204 to 218 meters includes an observation and entertainment floor, an outdoor viewing floor, and a revolving restaurant. It is equipped with a world-class sightseeing elevator that can safely and smoothly ascend to a height of 230 meters in just one minute. From the heights, the view suddenly opens up, offering visitors panoramic sights of Chengdu, especially the city’s dazzling night scenery. With the uniqueness of the Chengdu TV Tower, its exceptional height, outstanding design, and prime location, it has become a landmark building for both Chengdu and Sichuan Province. Three buildings—A, B, and C—are constructed around the tower in a sailboat-like formation. The rooftops of these structures are made of fully transparent glass, making the interiors bright and airy while giving the exteriors a sparkling, crystalline appearance. From within the complex, the scenic views of the Jinjiang River, lush trees, and clear waters are all visible. Chengdu 339 is situated in a prime central location, boasting a luxurious 600-meter riverside stretch while also creating the only stepped-back office space in Southwest China. In many aspects of its development, traditional choices were abandoned in favor of more expensive solutions. For example, Building A of the project uses a rare and highly costly all-steel structure; the selection of unitized curtain walls and LOW-E insulating glass, as well as the application of high-tech environmental systems such as river-source heat pump central air conditioning and heat recovery fresh air systems, have established Chengdu 339 as a benchmark office project in Chengdu. Meanwhile, retail and leisure brands such as CR Vanguard’s shopping mall brand CR Joy, Sichuan’s first Carlson Super Five-Star Hotel, and the New Era Cinema have all moved into Chengdu 339. As a result, the Chengdu 339 project transforms the tower from a standalone structure into a vibrant destination surrounded by architecture, integrating tourism, commercial leisure, fashion shopping, and business offices. The Eiffel Tower in France is a world-famous tourist destination; Tokyo Tower in Japan has witnessed the prosperity of tourism and commerce; Shanghai Tower has contributed to the vibrancy of the Bund. Every renowned TV tower in the world has given rise to a remarkable urban complex and become a symbol of its city. Chengdu 339 is on track to become a city icon, following in the footsteps of Jinli near Wuhou Temple and Huanhua Park near Du Fu Thatched Cottage, as another emerging tourist hotspot in downtown Chengdu.

Sichuan Radio and Television Tower is located in the core area of the “Chengdu Carnival · Oriental City That Never Sleeps, Western Eco-Tourism and Sightseeing World,” situated on the banks of the Jinjiang River, which has been awarded the “UN-Habitat Scroll of Honour Award.” It is close to Chengdu Underwater World, Mianzhuiwan Swimming Pool, the European-style bar street, and the famous Wangping Food and Entertainment Circle in eastern Chengdu. Nearby are also Living Water Park, Xinhua Park, and the Chenghua District Tennis Center; it is also near urban expressways such as Xinhua Avenue and the First Ring Road.

The TV tower is a key project in Sichuan Province, standing 339 meters tall, making it the tallest in western China and the fourth tallest in China. Its exceptional height and comprehensive facilities provide a high-level venue for culture, technology, commerce, tourism, entertainment, and more.

On the 21st floor of the TV tower is the highest revolving restaurant in western China, suspended 213 meters above the ground. The rotation speed is adjustable, taking as little as 40 minutes or as long as 90 minutes for a full circle. The circular rotating platform is 4 meters wide and can accommodate 250 people dining while enjoying the scenery.

The TV tower complex has become a landmark architectural group in Chengdu, Sichuan Province, in the 21st century. Over the next three to five years, it aims to rank among the world’s notable towers in terms of visitor numbers and tourism revenue, thereby joining the ranks of the world’s most famous tourist attractions.
