Longshuyu in Xiangfen County is a national AAAA-level tourist attraction.

Longshuyu in Xiangfen County is located in the Gushan Mountain Range, a branch of the Lüliang Mountains to the northwest of Xiangfen County’s urban area. Covering an area of about 30 square kilometers, it lies 23 kilometers from the county seat.

The area features stunning natural landscapes, uniquely styled ancient buildings, beautiful ancient legends, and a wealth of cultural sites. The "Dragon Dueling Twin Arches" are the most famous among the natural sights. Over 100 temples are either dramatically perched on cliffs or partially hidden, showcasing grand and classic architectural beauty. The various statues within are incredibly diverse, forming a true artistic treasure. Cliff carvings showcase dozens of masterpieces by ancient calligraphers, featuring regular script, cursive script, clerical script, and seal script—all bold yet graceful, solemn yet unrestrained, each with its own unique charm.

The scenic area is dotted with temples, monasteries, nunneries, pavilions, and Taoist shrines throughout. Nearby Ehuang-Nüying Spring and Jiuse Spring are like gleaming pearls set within the landscape, making this region a highly promising summer resort and tourist destination. To that end, from 1991 to 1999, our county invested nearly ten million yuan to complete projects including clearing 2,600 square meters of foundation, restoring 700 steps, renovating the mountain gate, a Yuan Dynasty stage, a Tang Dynasty Huatuo Temple, the Thousand-Hand Buddha Hall, the Zhenwu Temple, and the Three Sovereigns Temple. A total of 2,500 square meters of colored paintings were created, 250 statues were sculpted, 4 kilometers of high-voltage power lines were installed, and 4.5 kilometers of gravel roads were constructed. These efforts helped the scenic area reach a certain scale. In 1996, it was recognized by the provincial government as an advanced unit in socially-run tourism and included in the national hot tourism routes. By 2007, the cumulative number of visitors reached 650,000, with over 130,000 visitors in 2007 alone, generating 75,000 yuan in ticket revenue.
