The Dacheng Hall of the Xiangling Confucius Temple is a National Key Cultural Relics Protection Unit.

The temple is located within the grain station in Xiangling Town, Xiangfen County. It was originally built in the ninth year of the Taihe era of the Jin Dynasty (actually the first year of the Da’an era, 1209), and was rebuilt in the tenth year of the Dade era of the Yuan Dynasty (1306). It underwent multiple renovations during the Ming and Qing dynasties.

Currently, only the Dacheng Hall remains. It features a five-bay width and a ten-rafter depth, and is a hip-and-gable roof structure. A front terrace is installed. In May 2013, the Dacheng Hall of the Xiangling Confucius Temple was announced as part of the seventh group of National Key Cultural Relics Protection Units.

Confucius (551–479 BCE), whose given name was Qiu and courtesy name Zhongni, was a native of Zouyi, Changping, in the State of Lu (present-day southeastern Qufu, Shandong). He was a philosopher, educator, and statesman in the late Spring and Autumn period, the founder of Confucianism, and one of the most influential figures in Chinese history and culture. He also had a significant impact worldwide, especially in Southeast Asian countries, and is recognized as one of the world’s cultural luminaries.
