Shuanglong Lake National Wetland Park is a national-level wetland park.

Shuanglong Lake Wetland Park is located in Xiangfen County, covering a total area of 1,080 hectares, with a water area of approximately 10 square kilometers. It boasts abundant natural and cultural resources. The development of the "Shuanglong Lake" eco-agricultural tourism project has been identified as a key tourism initiative for Xiangfen County in 2010. The Xiangfen County Party Committee and County Government have strengthened tourism development efforts, with full cooperation from departments such as tourism and forestry, relevant townships, villages, and active introduction of private capital. Diversified investments have accelerated the development pace. Currently, the 12.9-kilometer lakeside road foundation has been largely completed, and over 80% of the planned 3,700-plus mu of greening projects have been finished. Seven scenic area construction projects—including the lake pier, Wanglong Tower, farmhouse resort, Guansheng Island, water park, outdoor swimming pool, and outdoor hot spring pool—will enter the full construction phase.

The predecessor of the Shuanglong Lake Wetland Park project was the original Qiyi Reservoir in Xiangfen County, with a total storage capacity of 55.78 million cubic meters. In addition to meeting the agricultural water needs of 35,000 mu of downstream and surrounding towns and villages, the reservoir also supplies water to large and medium-sized enterprises in Xiangfen County and nearby cities and counties such as Houma and Quwo.

"When viewed on a satellite map, this area resembles two playful dragons, hence the name Shuanglong Lake. Shuanglong Lake is a medium-sized artificial lake, serving purposes such as local agricultural irrigation, flood regulation, and water supply. The western lake was built in 1958, and the eastern lake in 1978, with the combined water area of the two lakes totaling approximately 100,000 square kilometers," introduced Yu Wenjin, Director of the Xiangfen County Forestry Bureau. "After more than fifty years of development, this area has inadvertently become a rare and precious wetland, forming a wetland ecosystem rich in flora and fauna, with high biodiversity and stability."

The park features abundant flora and fauna and wild, scenic wetlands. The delicate and beautiful autumn lake views blend organically with rich cultural landscapes, adding depth and charm to Shuanglong Lake. It will become an ideal destination for urban dwellers to explore wetlands, reconnect with nature, and enjoy leisure and sightseeing.
