The Heshi Site is a cultural heritage site protected at the provincial level in Shanxi Province.

Era: Neolithic Age

Location: On the platform northeast of Heshi Village, Heshi Township, 5 km north of Lucheng City

The site spans approximately 400 meters from east to west and 150 meters from north to south, covering an area of about 6 square meters. A 1996 survey revealed exposed ash pits and cultural layers on the cliff face, where various tools used in daily life such as stone axes, stone shovels, and stone sickles were collected. Additionally, fragments of pottery and stone tools were found on the exposed cliff faces, including clay mixed with sand, cord-marked, plain-patterned, gray pottery, and red pottery. Identifiable vessel shapes include the rim of a Yangshao Culture bowl and the rim of a Longshan Culture jar.
