Laohetou Guan Yu Temple, with an unknown date of establishment, faces south and features a single-courtyard layout. The central axis currently retains the mountain gate and the main hall. It measures 27.15 meters from north to south and 16.8 meters from east to west, covering an area of 456.12 square meters.

The existing main hall is a remnant of the Yuan Dynasty, while the rest are Ming and Qing structures. The main hall is three bays wide and six rafters deep, with a beam frame supported by four rafters... The eaves overhang prominently. The side halls are simpler in structure, with single-eave gable roofs. The temple also preserves painted sculptures and murals, reflecting folk beliefs and artistic styles of the time.

Two stone stelae are preserved in the temple. One is from the 15th year of the Ming Chenghua era (1479), with blurred inscriptions; the other is the “Stele for the Reconstruction of the Music Pavilion” from the 17th year of the Qing Kangxi era (1678).

On October 7, 2019, Laohetou Guan Yu Temple was included in the eighth batch of National Key Cultural Relics Protection Units.

The township covers a total area of 56.7 square kilometers, governs 20 administrative villages, has a total population of 15,303, and includes 29,195 mu of arable land. In 2003, the per capita net income of farmers was 2,684 yuan.

Huangniuti Township enjoys a mild climate, with an average annual temperature of 9–10°C and a frost-free period of 180–184 days. Xian Village, the lowest-altitude area in the city at just 616 meters, is the outlet of the Zhuozhang River.
