Description: Gao Dong Temple is situated in Gao Dong Village, Mingyue Town. Currently, the site retains the main hall and monk’s quarters, covering a construction area of 365 square meters. The main hall faces west and is built along an east-west axis. Its plain base is enclosed by stone slabs, standing 0.7 meters high. It features a timber structure with a post-and-lintel beam system, nine beams supported by three columns, a single-eave hip-and-gable roof covered with small blue tiles, a width of three bays (13.6 meters), a depth of 8.4 meters, an overall height of 7.15 meters, an eave height of 3.9 meters, column diameter of 0.41 meters, and a bell-shaped column base. The monk’s quarters also have a plain base bordered with stone, 2 meters high. It also uses a timber structure and post-and-lintel beam system, with ten beams upheld by seven columns, a single-eave hip-and-gable roof covered with small blue tiles, a width of three bays (11.5 meters), a depth of 13.1 meters, a total height of 6.9 meters, an eave height of 2.8 meters, column diameter of 0.4 meters, and a stepped approach stairway with 10 steps.
