Longtanzi Tourist Area

The Longtanzi Scenic Area is located between the Sichuan-Shaanxi border in the northern part of Wangcang County and Guohua Town. The area’s topography is predominantly karst mid-mountain terrain, featuring overlapping mountains that rise majestically toward the sky like screens and folding screens. The scenic area comprises Yanhe Gorge, Boots Rock, Huangmao Mountain, Qianlong Cave, Qianlong Eighteen Pools, Heijiaoli Waterfall, and Longtanzi Canyon. Its main representative attraction is the rare natural wonder of Qianlong Eighteen Pools. This spectacle is situated in the middle section of Longtanzi. The world’s uncommon natural wonders here include a string of round, bead-like pools, a double-decker natural arch bridge, and a vividly shaped “Qianlong” (Hidden Dragon), which are hailed as the “Three Wonders.”
