Cangxi Pear Culture Expo Park (Cangxi Pear Park) is a national AAAA-level tourist attraction.

Cangxi is known as the Hometown of Pears, showing that it is not only our home, but also the home of pears. Pears arrived in Cangxi earlier than we did, and once they took root here, they never wanted to leave. After hundreds of thousands of years of self-propagation and thousands of years of artificial cultivation, more than 30 varieties of pears have settled in this land. Emperors such as Emperor Wuzong of Tang and Emperor Kangxi, as well as literati like Du Fu and Lu You, either spoke highly of Cangxi pears or left behind timeless poems. It is precisely because of the wide variety and excellent quality of Cangxi pears that the locals built a true grand garden for the fruit by the Jialing River. This is the renowned Cangxi Pear Culture Expo Park, famous throughout Sichuan.

Covering an area of over 300 acres, the Cangxi Pear Culture Expo Park features three distinctive themed areas: the Pear Culture Exhibition Area, the Pear Village Folklore and Farming Experience Area, and the Pear Leisure and Wellness Culture Area. The Pear Culture Exhibition Area includes the Pear Ancestor Culture Garden, the Century-Old Tree Garden, the Snow Pear Adoption Garden, the Snow Pear New Variety Garden, the World Pear Varieties Exhibition Garden, and the Pear Culture Museum. The Pear Village Folklore and Farming Experience Area consists of the Pear Village Farming Plantation, the Pear Village Native Fruit Tree Variety Garden, and the Pear Village Folklore Exhibition Hall. The Pear Leisure and Wellness Culture Area features the Pear Blossoms by Moonlight Platform, the Pear Leisure and Wellness Tea Bar, the Snow Pear Ode and Pear Village Carving Craft Exhibition Hall. In spring, you can come here to admire the sea of snow pear blossoms; in autumn, you can taste authentic Cangxi snow pears. In summer and winter, you can explore the essence of China’s pear culture condensed within the park, experience the local customs of Cangxi, and witness the perfect integration of farming culture and modern technological civilization.

The Cangxi Pear Culture Expo Park currently cultivates 42 varieties of high-quality pears from around the world, with a total of 11,000 pear trees. The famous Cangxi snow pears, once tasted by great figures of modern history such as Mao Zedong, Zhou Enlai, Deng Xiaoping, and Chiang Kai-shek, all come from this park. In addition, the products of the Pear Culture Expo Park are also exported to countries and regions such as Japan, North Korea, Vietnam, India, and Russia. As a result, the Cangxi Pear Culture Expo Park has become an agricultural tourism destination that combines scientific research and sightseeing. In 2006, the Pear Culture Expo Park was rated as a national AAA-level tourist attraction.

Willows and pear blossoms welcome guests here, and even now I dream of the southern city."
