Tingshukou Hydropower Station

Tingshukou Hydropower Station is situated 15 kilometers upstream from Cangxi County in Guangyuan City. It serves as a key water control project along the main stream of the Jialing River. Once completed, it will completely solve the water supply needs for 2.9214 million mu of land and 1.817 million people in both urban and rural areas across regions such as Guangyuan and Nanchong, and will also significantly ease the tight situation caused by insufficient peak load regulation capacity in the power grid of northeastern Sichuan, including Guangyuan.

Tingshukou Hydropower Station is currently the largest hydropower station under the Sichuan Datang Group, ranking among the top five in installed capacity in Sichuan Province.

During its construction, it set two world records — on December 29–30, 2010, it achieved the world record for the highest single-day concrete placement volume of 15,840 cubic meters in a single pouring bay for similar projects; on October 22, 2011, it set the world record for the longest natural aggregate roller-compacted concrete core.
