Qiaoxi Jiang Family Courtyard

The Qiaoxi Jiang Family Courtyard is a cultural relic protection unit of Sichuan Province.

The Jiang Family Courtyard is a significant discovery made during the third national cultural relics survey conducted in Cangxi County, Sichuan Province. Located in Jiangjiagou, Jinlong Village, Qiaoxi Township, Cangxi County, Guangyuan City, Sichuan Province—approximately one kilometer from Yujiazui—the courtyard features a quadrangle layout with a single-eave gable-and-purlin wooden structure, covering an area of 850 square meters.

Research shows that a communal kitchen operated in the Jiang Family Courtyard from 1958 to 1961, serving up to 300 people at a time. Dozens of slogans from the kitchen’s operation and the ** period remain on and inside the building, most of which are still clearly legible. The wooden window lattice carvings inside the residence feature exquisite craftsmanship and have been well preserved. The Jiang Family Courtyard holds significant reference value for the study of Qing Dynasty civilian residential architecture.

Protection boundary: Centered around the midpoint of the atrium courtyard along the central axis of the main hall’s door, extending 13 meters eastward and westward, and 17.5 meters southward and northward.

Construction control zone: The protection boundary extends 50 meters eastward, 60 meters westward, 60 meters southward, and 45 meters northward.
