Baishan Cooling Bridge

Baishan Cooling Bridge is a cultural relic protection unit of Sichuan Province.

Baishan Cooling Bridge is located 4,500 meters east of Dangu Village, Baishan Township, Cangxi County, bordered by Feifeng Mountain to the northeast and Ma'anshan Mountain to the south. It serves as a key transportation route between Baishan Township and Shimashi Town. Originally built in the third year of the Guangxu reign during the Qing Dynasty, it is a wooden flat bridge measuring 27.2 meters in total length, 5.5 meters in width, with a span of 17.7 meters and an overall height of 8.5 meters. At the center beneath the bridge stands a stone pier, 5.2 meters high and 1.2 meters wide, supported by eight horizontal wooden beams. The bridge deck consists of 47 planks, each 5.5 meters long, 0.5 meters wide, and 0.06 meters thick. The sides of the bridge are equipped with double-layer wooden railings, and the covered walkway on the bridge features a traditional post-and-lintel wooden beam structure, topped with small blue tiles.

It is currently the only well-preserved wooden cooling bridge in northern Sichuan and has been included in the "Cultural Relics Map of China • Sichuan Volume." On June 28, 2006, the People's Government of Cangxi County approved and announced Baishan Cooling Bridge as a county-level cultural relic protection unit.

Protected Area: Centered on the midpoint of the central axis of the bridge deck, extending 30 meters east to the eastern approach bridge end, 30 meters west to the western approach bridge end, 2.5 meters south to the eaves drip line, and 2.5 meters north to the eaves drip line.

Construction Control Zone: Extending 60 meters east, 60 meters west, 50 meters south, and 50 meters north from the protected area.
