The body of the watchtowers is carved with intricate patterns of mythical beasts, human figures, stories, and auspicious cloud motifs. The designs are symmetrical but differ in content. The palace-style roof is also adorned with vivid carvings, and a large round ancient pagoda sculpture is placed atop the ridge of the left watchtower.
