Ancient Banyan Embracing Rock

Located about 50 meters down from the 11-kilometer mark on the eastern highway of the Bawangling Forestry Bureau, it is formed by rock differentiation and tall banyan trees. One feature is a roughly 10-meter-high boulder that has undergone differential weathering to form three overlapping stones, with a large banyan tree growing on top, forming the “pyramid-shaped flying rock” landscape. The other is five large banyan trees with an average height of 12 meters and an average diameter at breast height of 16 centimeters, growing epiphytically on a solitary rock about 5 meters high. Their roots are interconnected, forming a “root waterfall” on the southern side and a “tree embracing rock” on the northern side, giving a sense of “mystery and wonder.”
