A few kilometers into the Wulie Forest Farm of the Bawangling Forestry Bureau grows a tree that can exude oil directly from its trunk — the Dipterocarpus confertus, belonging to the Fabaceae family. Within the park, naturally growing Dipterocarpus confertus groves are found in woodlands below an elevation of 700 meters, covering an area of 220 hectares. These trees are around 120 years old, average 22 meters in height, with an average diameter at breast height of 30 cm, and some trunks can reach over 1 meter in diameter.
