Banyan Tree Cluster Growing on Rocks
Located on the hill behind the headquarters of the Bawangling Forestry Bureau, the entire cluster spans an area of 3.0 hectares, with an average tree age of about 100 years, an average height of around 10 meters, and an average diameter at breast height of approximately 30 centimeters. The banyan trees grow directly on rocks, featuring lush and intricately intertwined root systems—a phenomenon unique to tropical rainforests.
