The Premier Stand of Yajia Pines

The Yajia Pine is the only Hainan endemic species distributed exclusively in the Yajia Mountain Range. It features well-rounded trunks, lush needles, and this stand is located on the steep cliffs 15 kilometers along the eastern route of the Bawangling Forestry Bureau road. Covering a total area of about 20 hectares, the trees here have an average age of 200 years, an average diameter at breast height of 60 centimeters, and a height of 30 meters. As the most upright species in the tropical rainforest, combined with the dramatic cliffs formed through differential weathering and massive erratics, it resembles a “Mini Huangshan” landscape at Bright Summit.
