Maogan Ecotourism Area is located in the western part of Baoting County, within the territory of Maogan Township, about 35 kilometers from the Haiyu Middle Line highway. It covers a planned area of 453 hectares and mainly consists of three parts: Xian'an Stone Forest, Xianlong Karst Cave, and Bai Cui Lake (also known as Maola Cave Reservoir). It is a large-scale tourist area that integrates the "three-in-one" elements of stone, cave, and water, boasting the richest natural landscapes, the most prominent tropical rainforest, and the most intact geomorphic ecology. With its picturesque scenery—lush mountains and clear waters, encircling peaks and winding lakes, emerald rainforests, soaring stone forests, silver waterfalls, misty ribbons of cloud, and clouds bathing the sky lake—this place is home to rare birds soaring above and exotic flowers blooming below, making it truly enchanting. Coupled with the rich ethnic customs of the Li and Miao peoples, you’ll feel as if you’re walking through a painting or have wandered into a fairyland.
