Walking up the Auspicious Steps in the Rainforest Valley, you’ll come across a giant banyan tree resembling an enormous umbrella, covered all over with red ribbons and small wooden plaques. Standing about forty meters tall and over a thousand years old, its massive root system embraces a huge rock in the center. Beneath the tree grow numerous pandanus and elephant ear plants, all cradled by the banyan’s sturdy branches, held in its embrace as they together shelter a vast expanse of sky. Having weathered a thousand years of storms, the entire tree and the giant rock have almost merged into one. The intricate network of roots and the lush, leafy trunk are nothing short of a miracle of nature’s life force.

Peak season (October – April of the following year): 185 RMB/person (includes 125 RMB entrance ticket + 60 RMB round-trip sightseeing bus)

Off-season (May – September): 165 RMB/person (includes 105 RMB entrance ticket + 60 RMB round-trip sightseeing bus)

Discounted Ticket:

Peak season: 120 RMB/person (includes 60 RMB entrance ticket + 60 RMB round-trip sightseeing bus)

Off-season: 110 RMB/person (includes 50 RMB entrance ticket + 60 RMB round-trip sightseeing bus)

Discount Policy

1. Children under 1.2 meters (inclusive) and those under 6 years old (inclusive) may enter free of charge with valid documents such as a household register.

2. Those between 1.2 and 1.5 meters in height and those under 18 years old (inclusive) may purchase discounted tickets with valid ID such as an identity card or household register.

3. Seniors aged 60 to 69 (with valid ID), students (with a domestic full-time undergraduate or below student ID) may purchase discounted tickets.

4. Seniors over 70 years old (with valid ID), people with disabilities (with a disability certificate issued by the China Disabled Persons’ Federation), journalists (with a press card issued by the National Radio and Television Administration), and active-duty military personnel (with valid military ID such as officer or soldier certificate) may enter the scenic area free of charge (excluding the entrance ticket) but must purchase the round-trip sightseeing bus ticket at 60 RMB/person.

Note: Military personnel, journalists, students, people with disabilities, and seniors over 60 who are part of a tour group do not qualify for discounts.
